Beginning Farmers
Welcome Beginning and Re-Locating Farmers and Ranchers

If you are looking for land to farm or ranch, Land Link Montana is designed to assist you in finding the farm or ranch that might be a good fit for your agricultural goals and individual situation.  We recognize that every farm/ranch seeker's circumstance is unique, and we work with all types:
  • Beginning farmers and ranchers who want to start an agricultural business by leasing or purchasing land,
  • Well-seasoned producers who are re-locating or expanding an existing commercial operation,
  • Aspiring farmers and ranchers who would like to partner with and/or be mentored by another producer -- perhaps a retiring farmer or rancher.

One thing we do require, however, is that you have at least two years experience working on a farm or ranch.  If you have dreams of farming, we encourage you to find a job on an operation where you can pick up the appropriate skills, savvy and dedication.
